Volunteer-Ochsner
January 2023-Present
Work as a volunteer at Ochsner, I supported both the Emergency Department and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where I interact with patients, families and healthcare professionals in a clinical environment. My responsibilities including assisting with patient and family communication, directing visitors, answering phone calls, and relaying information to medical staff. I gained exposure to medical terminology, and patient care practices. These experiences strengthened my ability to adapt quickly, multitask and work both independently or as a team. Through volunteering I've gained skills that I can bring to the field of medicine and biological Engineering.
